This is a gorgeous Bone China Dinner Service for 12 people with coffee/teacups. The set is from the renowned Royal Albert Old Country Roses collection – Made in England. The set is properly marked with a Royal Albert back stamp. It is from the first edition of the pattern (1962 – 1973). It is Made in England, not in China or Taiwan as the newer pieces. Could have a few pieces of the second edition stamp. The rims of this pattern are surrounded by blooming English roses with hand-applied bands of gold. This classic dinnerware pattern is synonymous with the name Royal Albert. It is a long-standing testament to timeless style and elegant craftsmanship. 12 (twelve) Dinner plates 10 3/8 in diameter. 12 (twelve) Luncheon/Salad plates 8 1/8 in diameter (two plates are second edition). 12 (twelve) Bread and butter / Dessert plates 6 1/4 in diameter. 12 (twelve) Coffee/Teacups – 3 1/2″ at the rim and 2 3/4″ high (one cup are second edition). 12 (twelve) Saucers for the cups – 5 1/2 diameter. It is very rare and just beautiful and will make a wonderful gift or will be a great addition to any vintage china collection. The set is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing – please refer to the pictures or ask questions. It could have some utensils marks and some gold loss, consistent with its age and normal use. Actual color may differ from the photo due to lighting conditions.
